Community

Kingston Beach Surf Life Saving Club provides not only valued water safety services to a number of organisations but also provides event management and risk analysis for specific events held within the region including:

  • Inclusive Nipper Programs- Co-Coordinating club of the Southern Region Starfish Nippers

  • Silver Salties 

  • Community Beach Education Programs;

  • Primary and High School beach events and carnivals

  • Multisport events;

  • High School Surf League;

  • Active after School Programs;

  • Community ‘Come and Try’ ocean swims; and

  • Competitive ocean swims:

    • Raine & Horne Kingborough Rentals January ocean swim;

    • Kings Quarters Beach to Beach (Blackmans Bay to Kingston Beach) ocean swim

KBSLSC is extremely proud of its community achievements.

We firmly believe that our community engagement will become stronger with fit-for purpose facilities and will showcase our skills, abilities and professionalism to all that come in contact with KBSLSC.

In regard KBSLSC activities, the following statistics for the season just completed are provided, demonstrating the importance and value the Club has within the community:

  • In season 2022-23, KBSLSC performed just over 2600 hours of patrols;

  • In season 2022-23, KBSLSC had seven patrol teams rostered on for the patrol season

  • In season 2022-23 while on patrol,  KBSLSC performed 2 rescues, managed 28 first aid incidents, monitored close to 21, 000 beach goers and performed close to 200 preventative actions.

  • Our club membership had 408 members in the 22/23 season, consisting of junior nippers to active patrolling members.
