Water proficiencies are a very important part of the Kingston Beach Surf Life Saving Club’s initial assessments for safety and competence. We are not a learn-to-swim school. All children wishing to enter the water during nipper activities MUST have a basic level of competency in the pool. Further, anyone wishing to compete in water events at carnivals or attend board and swim training must successfully complete the competition evaluation at the beach.
All nippers (including seahorses) are required to participate in this evaluation (conducted by Kingston Beach SLSC) prior to any water activity at the beach on a Sunday, mid-week training or carnival participation.
2019/20 Pool Proficiency dates
Sunday 13th October 2pm – Clarence Pool
Sunday 20th October 2pm- Clarence Pool
Saturday 17th November 2pm- Clarence Pool
For all new and current nippers it is a requirement to attend one of these proficiency/information sessions.
Uniform and registration assistance from our registrar will be available on the day.
If your child attends swimming lessons they are able to take the form to their swim coach to get signed off there instead. Once signed, please email the form to the club or hand to our nipper team on a Sunday.
