The Midsummer Ocean Swim race is part of the Tasmanian Ocean Swim series but is organised and patrolled by Kingston Beach Surf Life Saving Club.  The race is run over a 500m and 1.5km distance.  The 2026 event is being held on 26th January.  

Entries close midday, SUNDAY, 25TH JANUARY, 2026

Entry will be online only. Late entries will be accepted until 5pm on 25th January for an extra $20.00 admin fee. 

Your entry is recorded only if payment is successfully processed.  Ensure that a payment receipt is received and check the confirmation list of entries on the webscorer page. 

Age is as at 24th Nov 2025.

500m Novice Swim (Age 10+)

$25 for ages 10-16

$30 for ages 17+

1.5km Series Points Swim (Age 12+)

$30 for ages 12-16

$40 for ages 17+

Race Day Details

Please bring a fluro cap if you have one.

7:30am – 8:00am Check In.  Collect your timing tag at the KBSLSC facility behind the toilet block opposite the beach.

8:20am 500m race briefing. 

8:30am 500m race start.

8:45am 1.5km race briefing.

From 9:00am 1.5km race starts in waves.

Your timing tag will be collected after the finish line. 

Presentations will be made at the KBSLSC facilities on the grass post event.  Please join us!
